Economic advancement is always linked to the development of trade routes and means of payment. Austria’s first gold coin was the Judenburg guilder. With the “Guldinnen,” Doris Jauk-Hinz created a female currency in 2011 that opposed the accepted “masculinity” of currencies and politics. The energy needs of the economy fuel climate change through the overexploitation of natural resources such as forests and fossil-based raw materials. CLIMATE CONROL MACHINE (ILA, 2005) and HABITAT (Bernhard Wolf, 2021) address the epochal threat to our planet.
