Schloss Eggenberg site

The exhibition Schloss Eggenberg: the staging of a world in the state rooms and palace chapel, takes us back to the time of the Eggenbergs – a critical and dangerous period, but also one full of opportunity.

Two accompanying exhibitions invite you to learn more about the Eggenberg family and the time around 400 years ago: In the exhibition The Eggenberg Family and the Power of Money, the Coin Cabinet displays special coins on which you can see pictures and names of members of the Eggenberg family. The Eggenbergs had the right of coinage, which means that they were allowed to produce their own coins.
The Graz 1699 exhibition can be seen at the Archeology Museum. Using modern technology, you can experience what the city of Graz looked like in the 17th century!

The show is also complemented by the Music Pavilion in the palace park.
