Under the title Ambition & Illusion, Schloss Eggenberg will be transformed into the venue for the third SHOWING STYRIA from the end of April 2025.
The UNESCO World Heritage Schloss Eggenberg and all local museums invite their visitors to take an unadulterated look at the history of the castle and all its inhabitants at SHOWING STYRIA 2025.

With a completely new view of the state rooms, as well as new special exhibitions in the Archaeology Museum and Coin Cabinet, you can immerse yourself in the 400-year history of one of the most important Baroque palaces in the country.
The special exhibition Graz 1699 at the Museum of Archaeology transports visitors into the lively atmosphere of the city of Graz in the 17th century and offers an impressive, immersive experience.
In the special exhibition The Eggenberg Family and the Power of Money in the Coin Cabinet, the rise, splendor and decline of the Eggenberg dynasty are presented on the basis of the coins they minted.
In addition, SHOWING STYRIA 2025 will be completed by a total of three pavilions, which will bring together artistic positions under the title History Repeating? and enable a new reception of the past.

Prices and tickets
The admission price for participants in a group offer is €13 without any additional discount.
A flat rate of €50 is charged for individual guided tours; the respective prices apply for combined tours.

State Rooms at Schloss Eggenberg
An unaccompanied visit to the anniversary exhibition by a group of 12 or more people is possible from Tuesday to Friday between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., on weekends, public holidays and window days depending on the capacity of the time slots.
Please register at least 14 days in advance.
Due to varying levels of demand at certain times, we reserve the right to split up groups. This is in the interests of the group's visit experience.

State rooms and Planetary Room
Accompanied tours and guided tours can be booked for groups of between 12 and 25 people from Tuesday to Friday from 2.00 pm.
The last bookable starting time is 4.30 pm, as a tour is estimated to take around 1.5 hours.
Please also note that you must register approximately 14 days in advance.
The mediator is exclusively available to the group during the entire exhibition visit. After an introduction in the castle courtyard, visitors explore the 21 exhibition rooms with their multimedia installations at their own pace. In several specially set up meeting points with seating, the previously viewed content is discussed in greater depth with the art and culture education team, special objects are presented and open questions are answered. This format is also intended to enable groups to have as individual a visit experience as possible and to experience the anniversary exhibition in its entirety without the time pressure of a traditional guided tour.
