This type of dovecote with a height of 6 metres usually stood in an inner courtyard. Six storeys, one above the other, housed 48 pigeon dwellings with a total of 168 flight holes. Such dovecotes used to be found on many farms. The pigeons were sometimes also housed in the roof space, as can still be seen from the flight holes with flight boards on the house gables.
