The timber-framed granary was built in 1745 and served as a "granary box" for storing grain, flour and food until 1976.

The steep pitched roof covered with thatch is extended in the direction of the ridge over the gable-sided entrance and supported on two wooden pillars. This created a roofed vestibule under which people could work even when it was raining. The enlarged upper floor, the attic, was used as a "loft" for drying.
