Built: 19th century

Rüsthaus, Bad Aussee-Lerchenreith, Steiermark

The timber-framed building was used to house the fire engine and the firefighters' equipment such as uniforms, helmets, pickaxes, fire buckets, etc. The water hoses were hung up to dry in the 9 m high tower. The fire brigade was naturally one of the most important facilities in every village.
