Bell tower, Schallendorf

Built: 1776
Year of transmission: 1970

Image Credits

The timber-framed oak tower is a bell tower whose bell was rung in case of fire or danger, but also - in the absence of a church - at times of prayer and death. The roof is thatched with thatch. The struts of the belfry are made of St Andrew's crosses.
