Year of transmission: 1980

Schweinestall, Gstatterboden, Steiermark

Image Credits

The building, made of logs and sheltered by a steep roof covered with shingles, served as a ‘Sauhittn’. Two to three pigs were housed here. Residues from cheese production, such as whey, kitchen waste and green fodder embellished the pigs' summer stay on the mountain pasture.
