Euro coins are distributed across the floor of the Kunsthaus forecourt and inside. However, these are – welded to screws – firmly attached to the floor and cannot be lifted. Lost Money / Handful is based on the work Lost Money by Superflex, realised in various locations. The coins chosen correspond to the local currency. It was first presented at Utopic in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, in 2009, and is permanently installed in the botanical garden of Culiacán, Mexico, and in the KUNSTEN Museum of Modern Art Aalborg. Lost Money is often shown in connection with the film The Financial Crisis.
