Together with the artist Haegue Yang, the Kunsthaus Graz asked over 100 people for a piece of furniture. Functional yet personal furnishings transform the entire exhibition centre into a very special VIP Room, creating a picture of a specific cultural landscape.

The exhibition guide includes a complete list of lenders. Along with documents and a genealogy of the work series, texts by Barbara Steiner and Katrin Bucher Trantow examine themes such as prestige, taste, generosity, responsibility, and approaches to shaping communities.
