This children's book tells the legend of the childlike emperor of China, who in a hot summer wished for nothing more than a bowl full of cooling ice cream. One of his advisors found a solution and was able to serve the emperor tasty and cool ice cream the following summer.
The book also contains a recipe how to make "Kakigori" (shaved ice) and a text by Elisabeth Fiedler about the background of Jun Yang's work in 2019 in the Austrian Sculpture Park.
The illustrated book was published on the occasion of the project Jun Yang The Ice of the Emperor of China in the Austrian Sculpture Park 2019
in cooperation with Kunsthaus Graz.
