The barn, built from roughly hewn timber in a log construction, is timbered in such a way that there are gaps between the carpentry wreaths. This means that the stored hay can always be ventilated and there is no risk of spontaneous combustion. The preserved scissor roof is thatched with straw, with the ears of corn on the outside.
