The two-storey granary, which dates back to 1836, was used to store grain, flour, meat and other foodstuffs. Wool, linen and clothing were also once stored in the granary for fire safety reasons. A small cider press is housed under the roof of our Wenigzell granary, which is slanted to one side. Both gables of the roof, which is covered with thatch, have been "battened down."
