Wooden beehives are attached to the sunny side of the timber-framed apiary. With their partly original painting, they correspond to the ‘chimney hives’. In terms of construction, they are ‘Rodderstöcke’, which were particularly common in the Enns river basin and in the upper Mur valley. The bees provided the farmer beekeeper with honey and wax.
