Santiago Sierra

Santiago Sierra is an artist who addresses social and economic injustices, as well as the exploitation of workers, particularly migrant workers and the long-term unemployed, in his provocative performances. His aim is to break societal taboos and raise awareness of political and social issues. At Kunsthaus Graz, individuals of migrant origin participate in a performance by spending hours writing the sentence ‘I will never take the job of a European’. This performance serves as a statement against discrimination and highlights the struggles that migrant workers face in Europe.
