About the
Event

The workshop Bridging the Arts is an extension of the creative work on “Curriculum Vitae”, a piece about time and encounters between individuals, narratives, languages, epochs and artistic disciplines.

The workshop will take place at two locations in Graz - the Tanzhaus and the Kunsthaus Graz. This will create a geographical, human and artistic bridge between the two. At Tanzhaus we will work in the studio at the invitation of Tanz Graz, bringing body, voice and words into dialog, improvising and composing. In Kunsthaus we will refer to the exhibition Poetics of Power and enter into a dialog with the artworks on display through performance. We will experience and animate the museum space in a new way through reciprocal movement, with body, voice and words. We will become works ourselves and at the same time be the audience.

Boundaries become blurred - between times, spaces, arts and narratives, but above all the boundaries between people. All people, regardless of their origin, age, dance or artistic experience and training or their relationship to art, are invited to experience an artistic, cross-border and unifying event and to present the result together in front of an audience in the museum.

The play “Curriculum Vitae” will be performed at the Theater am Lend in Graz in February 2025.
