Riverside View was specifically developed for the media facade of the Kunsthaus Graz and was created in collaboration between Gerald Roßbacher and Lisa Truttmann. In their cinematic reflection, the two artists directly reference the fluidity of the architecture and the organic nature of the river in the immediate surroundings.
The artwork features highly abstracted and dramatically edited close-up shots of the surface of the Mur river, partially slowed down and animated in a collage-like manner. As cinematic light images, they flow downstream along the facade of the building. The architecture, as a curved canvas, becomes a reflective body that seems to mirror the passing river.
