In the run-up to the exhibition Connected. Peter Kogler with ... the Austrian media artist realised a double intervention as part of Klanglicht. Kogler's hypnotic patterns appeared on the BIX Media Facade of the Kunsthaus Graz and in the urban space, and the Lendkai in front of the Kunsthaus became a dance floor for the audience. The participants received free scarves designed by the artist and thus became highly visible elements of this sound art event.
Peter Kogler has been working as a media artist combining computer graphics, film, collage and architecture since the 1980s. His preoccupation with the technical and reproducible image and the power of the media makes him a true visionary of how to deal with the power of the masses under the conditions of a digitally influenced everyday life.
