Interactive media spaces are becoming more and more common in urban spaces and are used for advertising, information and even art purposes. What exactly does this mean for our perception of urban space, for the immovability of architecture and the development and legibility of generative systems?
The students of the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences deal with the functions, possibilities and problems of movable light facades in urban areas. In the Inside Media course, under the direction of John Dekron, they developed a series of works for the BIX Media Facade of the Kunsthaus Graz, which resulted in a dialogue with the new, international master's program ADRIART (Advancing Digitally Renewed Interactions in Art Teaching), which will itself be present with a project on the BIX in early summer 2013.
From 6 March to 14 April, the works of the Dortmund students can be seen on the BIX Media Facade.
