Works from the Herbert Collection

2nd publication accompanying the exhibition

The collection of Annick and Anton Herbert, based in the Belgian city of Ghent, is focussed on Minimal Art, Conceptual Art and Arte Povera and is showing works by Carl Andre, Gerhard Richter, Mario Merz, Martin Kippenberger and Mike Kelley, among others, in the Kunsthaus Graz under the title Inventur. The collaboration between the Austrian artist Heimo Zobernig and the architect Niels Johnkhans has resulted in a radical presentation that opens up new perspectives on artistic movements between the key dates of 1968 and 1989. This publication documents this unique exhibition design with numerous installation views, sketches and plans as well as a text by art theorist Denys Zacharopoulos.
