INFORMATION STREAM

Daniel Egg’s art book has been published on the BIX façade of Kunsthaus to mark his new project “Information Stream”.

The texts investigate the linguistic phantasmagoria of the Vienna artist from different perspectives and look into the way in which he uses visual language and the vocabulary of semantic form, which are manifested in smoke. His work also focusses on the social code surrounding smoking, which has contained all manner of associations – in the 1920s, smoking was a sign of intellectualism and, over the last decade, it has become something to be avoided.

The book contained images from the entire series consisting of film, photography and light installations.
