Flocking (2024) is a limited edition by the artist Azra Akšamija for Kunsthaus Graz. The edition consists of two individual pieces of a floral carpet made of felt that you can turn into your personal slippers. In the exhibition Sanctuary, Flocking stands for the ritual of entering, gathering, for the place of community and for the essential interweaving of people, nature and culture. Its geometric pattern is part of a global tradition from different cultures. Its versatility and adaptability stand for sustainable materials and local craftsmanship.
