The renowned Styrian artist Tom Lohner will create a “Styrian Paravent” especially for the Expo in Ôsaka, a unique work of art that combines tradition and modernity, East and West: a monumental screen as a cultural gift to the city of Ôsaka.
On the front, a sensual, painterly homage to Styria unfolds - a visual narrative full of symbolism and multi-layered details, characterized by Lohner's characteristic style. The reverse offers an abstract, minimalist translation of this imagery. Fine lines link the central elements of the motif and create a poetic network of associations - a multi-layered interplay between the visible and the invisible, tradition and the future.
