About the
Project

 25 artists from the Sculpture and Space department / Hans Schabus class are creating a large number of birdhouses as artists in residence under the direction of Vienna-based artist Claudia Märzendorfer.  This floating settlement, divided into feeding and nesting houses, addresses aspects of climate protection and species conservation, as well as spaces for collective and individual interaction.

Further information

Every year, the Austrian Sculpture Park invites national and international artists and art classes to engage with the park and develop their own temporary works for the sculpture park as part of an artist-in-residence project. For the year 2024, the class Hans Schabus,  at the University of Applied Arts Vienna has been invited.
