New Edition Screen-Magazin #7

A red illuminated neon sign marks the former Watchman House, inside of which the Screen-Magazine is located. It is curated by Helmut & Johanna Kandl, showcasing artistic video installations on the subject of inhuman ideologies and actions practiced today. Additionally, texts and scenes inform the viewer on the history of Aflenz under the National Socialism. At the intersection of the past and the present the adapted Wächterhaus (Watchman House) provides the groundwork for an open and challenging memorial process and for vigilance.

The Screen-Magazine has been expanded in 2023 with contributions by Kamen Stoyanov and Joachim Heinzl. The adaptation of this new program was celebrated on July 5th 2023 at 10 am with an introduction by mayor Peter Stradner and a talk with Elisabeth Fiedler and Joachim Hainzl
