The historic MISSING LINK has been found. 400 years of river-space history of the city Fürstenfeld have been unravelled and uniquely, interdisciplinary illustrated as part of a research project by Günther Pedrotti, graphically prepared by Joseph Fitzgerald, affixed to 24 poster walls in public space.
The first part of this extensive research project „The waters right(ful) voice” showcases a wet world exemplified by the historic river courses of the Feistritz mid-17th century in large-format drawings. This missing link has not been made up, as you might rightfully suspect of two artists, what you see on these poster walls is a caricatured river course differing from the otherwise artificially straight riverways.
The “historic straightening”, which would not be approved of today, was one of the triggers for this research project and the questions it explores. A small insight is provided by the historically documented river courses of the FEISTRITZEN, located in a different Fürstenfeld.
