For his work in the Lesliehof, Joseph Kosuth connects light with a theory that establishes a reference to the night sky. The quote comes from Johannes Kepler – a great historic figure in mathematics and astronomy and a staunch Protestant who was forced to leave Graz during the Counter-Reformation. 200 years later, the founding of the Joanneum at this location also served as a political statement making knowledge accessible to all.
This project was part of the exhibition Light that presented three projects in the public space and one international conference to the topic in the Joanneum District in 2015.
