From the Joanneumsviertelplatz, visitors reach the belly of the museum via an escalator. The foyer with its information desk and visitor service is the center of the museum and the starting point for excursions through all the adjacent museums. After the end of daily museum operations - from 6 p.m. - the foyer is a versatile, spacious and light-flooded venue for receptions, celebrations and concerts.
