State Rooms

The Bel Étage of Eggenberg Palace has remained almost unchanged since the 18th century. Furnished with original 17th and 18th century designs, furniture, tapestries and decorations, the circle of 24 state rooms is among the most significant ensembles in Austria.

Alte Galerie

Experience 500 years of European history in the mirror of art and cultural history: outstanding examples of Austrian Gothic bear witness to the faith of the Middle Ages, masterpieces from the Renaissance and Baroque tell of the splendour and misery of the early modern period.
Coin Cabinet

Coin Cabinet

The Coin Cabinet tells memorable stories of coinage and coins in circulation in Styria from Antiquity to the Baroque period.
Archaeology Museum

Archaeology Museum

The Archaeology Museum displays more than 1,200 objects. Highlights of the permanent exhibition are world-class objects from the Hallstatt period, such as the “Cult Wagon of Strettweg” and the “Mask of Kleinklein”.

Park and gardens

The Park of Schloss Eggenberg is one of the most precious garden monuments in the country. Please help us to protect it by observing the regulations set out below. They are designed to protect visitors, plants, animals and park features, while allowing you and other visitors to enjoy and experience the park.

Drone flights and commercial photography of any kind are prohibited in the entire area!
For family photos for private use (wedding, christening, etc.) please fill in our form (available at the park cash desk) and pay a fee of 15 €.

Our shop offers a surprising great range of products. We offer scientific publications, a wide variety of sorted books, various products for gardening and many souvenirs.
Please note, the shop opening hours correlate with the museum opening hours.
