The public barrier-free car park in Kalchberggasse can be used for parking.
The ground-level and barrier-free entrance to the Joanneum Quarter is to the left of the restaurant on the western side of the square. From there, an automatic door leads to the lift. The door is particularly suitable for wheelchair users or people with prams.
The lift takes you to the basement. There you will find the visitor centre with the ticket office and the starting point for tours.
Barrier-free WCs are also available in the Visitor Centre.
There is an induction system for deaf people.
At the Neue Galerie Graz, wheelchair users can explore the exhibition area with ease (almost entirely obstacle free). Assistance is required solely for the wheelchair lift. Admission is free-of-charge for carers.
Visitors with reduced mobility can hire out a transport wheelchair from the counter. The exhibitions include stable seating with arm rests.
Text information about the exhibited works of art is provided in clear and high-contrast text. Audio guides and touch-based objects are provided for visually impaired and blind visitors.
The restaurant offers disabled access on the courtyard side (!). The square side has a step up into the building. A disabled access toilet is also available.
