Sounding out the depths is a fundamental characteristic of the composer and electroacoustician Katharina Klement. In her work Ecophony, the intertwining and connections of soil, landscape, people and history, memory and current experience, which she developed on the basis of her research and involvement with Eva Schartner and her farm in Altaussee, as well as numerous conversations with people from the Salzkammergut region, can be heard and experienced in a unique way along a fourteen-station path.
By inviting everyone to participate in this work, the artist opens diverse and yet coherent knowledge and perception. In this way, she lets us broaden our horizons by addressing and interweaving intellectual debate and all of our senses to perceive apparent certainties in a differentiated manner and to be able to develop them further.
