Opening of the collaborative project of Anna Jermolaewa & Scott Clifford Evans and the local youth in Passail in the context of which they created new space to play, dance and read.

Youththek

In Passail there is a building for the local adolescent to meet. A school building from the 18th century, which has the head of a stag (the symbol on the city’s coat of arms) with a white reddish in its mouth mounted on its façade.

This youth center has three unused rooms, which the youth of Passail wants to activate.

Anna Jermolaewa & Scott Clifford Evans helped the local youth and a refugee from Ethiopia to renovate these rooms. They created a playroom, a discotheque and a reading room. These rooms in the Youththek can be used freely, the teenagers can play and dance with friends or simply read a book from the small library in the reading room.
 

The opening was celebrated with an evening of karaoke by the artists, the youth center Passail and the local youth.
