The inner courtyard of the History Museum is reached through a representative entrance, which opens to the courtyard through three pillared arcades. The former Palais Herberstein, which stretches from Sackstraße to the foot of the Schloßberg, was rebuilt in the late Baroque period by Josef Hueber. This historic inner-city courtyard is particularly well suited for receptions, readings and concerts.
